The program offers full funding, including a tuition waiver, as well as health, dental, and vision insurance to all students.
The stipend for the 2025-2026 academic year is $46,356, which is paid continuously throughout the year (including summers). Students have access to yearly research and travel funds and funds for submitting to journals and contests.
This program offers intimate classes, the opportunity to pursue both creative and critical writing, and close mentorship by faculty in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. Students will receive both an MFA in Creative Writing and an MA in English; students are expected to complete a book-length thesis project and a 20-25 page MA Capstone project using literary texts.
The program also offers opportunities for students to learn how to teach creative writing and edit a literary journal.
